Presentation Instructions

Oral presentations

The time slot allocated to each oral presentation is 20 minutes, which includes the time for questions and discussions. The presenting authors are advised to plan for a talk of about 15 minutes, leaving 5 minutes for questions.

The presenting authors should arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the respective sessions commence, and (1) introduce themselves to the Session Chair, and (2) upload the presentation slides and make sure that the slides are displayed properly on the screen.

The presenting authors please sit towards the front of the presentation room.

The Session Chair will introduce your presentation as well as monitor the length of the presentation.

The venue will be equipped with a computer running Windows, an LCD projector, a microphone, a lectern, and a pointing device. The computer in the lecture room will have Microsoft Office 2010 and Acrobat Reader 9, as well as a Wireless internet connection. Should you require any other A/V equipment, please send a request to Dr. Sam Chao at .

Poster presentations

Poster sessions provide a good medium for authors to present papers and meet with interested attendees for in-depth technical discussions. It is important that you display your message clearly and noticeably to attract people who might have an interest in your paper.

Suggested poster size is 841mm (wide) x 1188mm (tall) (A0). Push tacks or velcro adhesive will be provided at the conference to mount your poster to the board.

Poster sessions are 1 hour 30 minutes long. This is the time interval you should be present at your poster to answer questions. Note that all posters have to be installed at least 15 minutes before the session commences.
